I'd like to hold a mini-contest. Since it is a mini-contest there will be one "winner".


Contest theme:



Imagine that you could put yourself in any scenario you want (whether it be you tagging along with your favorite tv show character or you fighting an alien race on a distant planet). Create a scene where you are partaking in a fantasy epic! Of course, by fantasy I mean "not real"...the genre could be anything you'd like! Also, you can draw you as you really look or you could represent yourself as a fantasy/persona version of yourself. Be as creative as you want as long as you stick to the theme.

If you are unsure about whether or not your idea qualifies, ask me!


The winner will receive the following:



o Your choice of $25 or 2000 points
o Full body/full color illustration of one character with a detailed background of your choice
o A feature for a month on my front page


Rules:



o There must be at least 15 separate people that enter
o Your piece of art must be made specifically for this contest (submitted after 4.13.2013)
o Anthropomorphic characters are welcome!
o Visual media only (no literature)
o Photomanipulations are allowed as long as proper credit is given
o You can submit as many entries as you'd like

The winner will be chosen based on a mixture of how much meaning they put into their piece, and how much work they put into their piece.

This contest will end on May 30th, 2013!
Either send me your entry via note or via comment on this journal.
If there are not 15 separate people that enter by May 30th, the contest is void.
Make sure to get the word out so you have a chance to win cash and art!
I will be making updates via my journal, so watch me for updates.

Possible contest?

First off, I'd like to say I've put a very quick hault on requests and allowed myself time for personal art in between my rigorous college schedule. If I don't do personal art, I go bananas. I am currently sick with a nasty cold as well so personal art is soothing my soul. I will continue on them in the near future as I was, however!

Also, I wanted to hold a contest. I'm not too sure of a theme. The prizes would be a selection from (either including all that is listed or some that is listed) money, art, subscriptions, points (if those are even in demand anymore since the store is closing), whatever else people want.

The themes I was thinking were maybe mythology themed (you choose what pantheon...but I'm obviously excruciatingly biased towards Scandinavian/Norse mythology), general sci-fi, general fantasy, some kind of fandom that I'm in, a "draw my character" contest (you guys are so sick of my characters, though) etc etc.

No one really goes on dA anymore, so I'm curious if anyone has any input or would like to join if I did in fact make one?

Just a quick thank you to my watchers who do interact with me when I open up requests and just plain talk to me. I know when I open up requests I get feedback partly because it's free art...but the fact you even want art from me makes me feel wonderful! I love doing free art for you guys and your awesome characters. When I'm done with this batch I plan to open up more. One day I'd like to open up art trades as well because all of my watchers (and those I watch) make wonderful art...and to be able to trade my art for yours is so fun!

I really want some art of my character Emon. The thing is his character is a little bit "gorey" and the whole thing with his multiple irises throw people off.

Who is open for commissions?
If you are what are your prices and examples?
Would you be willing to draw a little blood or something grosser?
(if not then it doesn't even need to have any in it).

I just love this OC so much and I want pictures of him EVERYWHERE.

I'll show examples to those wondering and those interested in drawing him (I've hidden almost all of them because I have a fetish for a cleaned up gallery with NO EXAMPLES OF MY ART lololol).
